Description

Unsorted drywall/plaster waste, in whole boards or in pieces, mainly from construction and demolition projects.

Collection

Drywall/plaster is amassed in closed containers, or bags made for this purpose. Drywall/plaster is transported to a waste reception facility for temporary storage before transport to waste treatment facilities.

Processing

Drywall/plaster is ground up and impurities (cardboard, burlap, etc.) are removed.

Recycling

The drywall/plaster is then used in the production of new drywall.

Non-compliance

A sorting fee may be charged if the item is not sorted into a homogeneous fraction. If sorting is not possible, the entire delivery can be reclassified.
